A Journey of Dedication: Elona Latifi’s Story

I’m Elona Latifi, founder of the Albanian Community Northamptonshire. Since moving here in 2015, I have been passionate about empowering our community, drawing from my educational background in Albania. My journey started with the vision to teach the Albanian language and preserve our culture. Despite early challenges and skepticism, our community has blossomed, with annual celebrations and Northampton’s first Albanian language school. My experience spans roles as an education specialist, mental health advocate, and volunteer translator, all supported by my husband, Andi Latifi. Together, we’re building a future filled with pride and belonging for our community.
